Burberry has continued its focus on sustainability with the launch of its “ReBurberry” edit, featuring 26 pieces from the label’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection that have been produced using sustainable materials. The products in the edit cover both menswear and womenswear, as well as a range of accessories, all of which have been crafted with an environmental focus.

Key features include eyewear produced from a pioneering bio-based acetate, outerwear in a recycled nylon material made from fishing nets, fabric scraps and industrial plastic, and bags manufactured at facilities that use renewable energy.

As well as launching “ReBurberry,” the brand has also announced the global roll-out of sustainability labelling that will run across all of its key product categories. This labelling will allow customers to see Burberry’s environmental and social credentials for every garment they buy.

The pistachio-colored labels feature on all of the pieces in the “Reburberry” edit, and each one details how the garment meets a range of criteria described as “positive attributes.” Different atributes include the amount of organic cotton or recycled natural fibres used, delivery against carbon emissions standards and social initiatives for workers. Currently, two thirds of Burberry products meet one of these criteria, with the label hoping all products will be 2022.

The “ReBurberry” edit is available now from the Burberry web store.
