Fashion designers Nkwo Onwuka and Telfar Clemens have been nominated in the fashion category for the Beazley Designs of the year award.
The Nigerian designer Nkwo was nominated for her Dakala Cloth which is a new African textile that was developed by Nkwo Design Studio based in Lagos to reduce textile waste and preserve a traditional craft form. On the hand, Telfar was nominated for his colourful, vegan, non-gendered bags and affordable luxury bags.
