Quavo Streams His 29th Birthday Party On Instagram Live

Quavo isn’t letting the lockdown hinder his day of celebration.

The Migos member has taken to Instagram to stream his 29th birthday party, hosted by Travis Scott. Quavo announced the event earlier this week on his social media accounts, teasing a night of fan-favorite hits as well as some never-before-heard records. Viewers can expect to hear new music by Scott, Meek Mill, Nav, Gunna, the late Pop Smoke, and more.

“Shout out to all my Aries, man … Quarantine party,” Quavo said in his announcement. “Stay safe, everybody. Make sure y’all practicing social distancing. We playin’ all the Migos classics … We ain’t battling, we just vibing. We celebrating and going crazy all night long … And, guess what? We openin’ up the vault and we playin’ shit we’ve been slidin’ to. Don’t tell nobody. We gonna give y’all a sneak peak.”

Unfortunately for viewers, the event didn’t go as expected. Many fans took to social media on Thursday night to complain about the streaming quality, the fact there were no music premieres, and Scott being a no-show.

Quavo also announced the launch a fundraising campaign for coronavirus relief efforts: “For my birthday, The Quavo Cares Foundation will be donating and raising funds for frontline healthcare workers in area Los Angeles and Atlanta hospitals,” he said in a statement. “I am partnering with @ohana_one_inc and @emoryhealthcare to provide needed masks, isolation gowns, and face shields to ensure health care professionals are safe during this pandemic. I am asking all of my friends and fans to join me and donate.”
